PesaNet, Inc. ("PesaNet," "we," "our," or "us") respects the privacy of job applicants. This Candidate Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information of individuals who apply for employment with us through our careers portal. It is separate from our consumer Privacy Policy, which governs users of our wallet and financial services.
1. Scope
This Notice applies solely to job applicants and candidates. Applicant data is maintained separately from the data of our wallet and financial-services customers, in an isolated environment, and is never co-mingled with customer financial data.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: your full name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password.
- Application materials: your résumé/CV, cover letter, and any information you choose to include.
- Application activity: the roles you apply to, application timestamps, and your application status.
We do not request sensitive personal information (such as government ID, race, religion, or health data) as part of an application, and ask that you not include it.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use applicant information solely to:
- Evaluate your application and assess your suitability for a role;
- Communicate with you about your application and the recruitment process;
- Maintain records of our recruitment activities as required by law.
We do not use applicant data for marketing, and we do not sell it.
4. How We Share Your Information
- Internally: with our hiring team and personnel involved in the recruitment decision.
- Service providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), which hosts our careers infrastructure, stores résumés in a private, encrypted store, and delivers our notification emails. These providers process data on our behalf under contract.
We do not share applicant data with third parties for their own purposes.
5. Data Security & Separation
Applicant data is stored in an isolated database, logically separated from our financial-services systems. Résumés are stored in a private object store and are accessible only through short-lived, access-controlled links — never via public URLs. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
6. Data Retention
We retain applicant data for twelve (12) months following a hiring decision, after which it is deleted, unless (a) a longer period is required by applicable law, or (b) you consent to our retaining it to consider you for future opportunities. You may request deletion at any time as described below.
7. Your Rights
Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal information, to know what we collect and why, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise them, contact us at the address below; we will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
All other applicants: you may contact us at any time to review, update, or request deletion of the application data you have provided, and we will honor reasonable requests consistent with our standard practices and legal obligations.
